\"carrie-worried-for-valis\"<\/a>I saw him pacing, he would soon wear right through the floor.\u00a0 The tensions were running high.\u00a0 As we sat there listening to the testimony of Maharet, every time they mention that I or Merida are considered, \u201crogues\u201d I sensed his anger level skyrocket.\u00a0 My poor sire was going to lose it.\u00a0 I squeezed Cherry\u2019s hand, she squeezed back as she looked towards Va\u2019lis.\u00a0 On my other side was Rich, my husband who gave me a supportive smile then followed my gaze.\u00a0 He too worried for Va\u2019lis, he had grown to really like him.\u00a0 I read his thoughts, I was developing my gifts with Cherry\u2019s help.\u00a0 His panic about allowing the marriage of Rich and I made me so sad.\u00a0 I— I had to go comfort him.\u00a0 I came up behind him and hugged him tight. My emotions pouring out of me. Did he know that allowing me to have Rich in my life was the single best thing he had ever done for me?\u00a0 Rich balanced me, Rich propelled me to master my thirst, Rich provided security and stability, and most importantly Rich assured me that my life, the plans for it, could certainly continue onward\u2026 that yes some things were different but him and I could still have our life together.\u00a0 What a gift that was!\u00a0 It was not a mistake at all!!!<\/p>\n

He wiped away my tears, and with it my fears, and walked me back over to my seat.\u00a0 He lightly patted Rich\u2019s shoulder but moved past us to Cherry.\u00a0 He needed her.\u00a0 Hell the Razele family needed her!\u00a0 She was our mother, our protector, our teacher when Va\u2019lis could not.\u00a0 She really is the other half of him.
