Windsor:\u00a0 \u201cI have nothing for this witness, Chancellors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor O\u2019Connor:\u00a0 \u201cAnd why is that, Counselor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cShe brings nothing useful to our case here today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Gray: \u201cBut you are basing your charges against Mr. Romanus on the fact that she and Mrs. Romanus are, or rather were, rogues.\u00a0 How is it that she brings nothing to this case?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm: \u201cCounselor Windsor is within her rights.\u00a0 Duly noted.\u201d\u00a0 <em>*<strong>looks to Counselor Talbot<\/strong>*<\/em> \u201cAny cross examination from the defense?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: <em>*<strong>smiles<\/strong>*<\/em> \u201cFor certain.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm: \u201cVery well then, we&#8217;ll hear the cross.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u201cChancellors, the entire reason we\u2019re here is because of the abduction of Mrs. Romanus and by association Mrs. Perry. How Mrs. Perry came to be involved with my client is relevant to this case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm: <em>*<strong>thinks a bit, then silently confers with his fellow Chancellors<\/strong>*<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm: <em>*<strong>after a long pause<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cYou may ask the question as it refers to Mr. Romanus himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: <em>*<strong>nods<\/strong>*<\/em> \u201cMrs. Parker-Perry, how did you come to know my client, Marius de Romanus?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry: <em>*<strong>trying to hold back emotion<\/strong>*<\/em> \u201cI met him after I.. after I was turned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u201cLet\u2019s talk about that, you had been a student of Mr. Razele\u2019s correct?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cObjection, relevance again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u201cThe turning of Mrs. Parker-Perry was one this court should be made aware of. The relevance here being that the prosecutor\u2019s client forced her turning on Mr. Razele when they took him. And when they did, Mr. Razele was bonded to Pandora de Romanus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Gray:\u00a0 \u201cOverruled.\u00a0 I\u2019d like to hear the circumstances of her turning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm: \u201cI challenge the ruling.\u00a0 I do not think it is relevant. Windsor: \u201cCite your relevance, do your job, Mr. Talbot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cEnough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carrie jumped at the volume of Chancellor Grimm\u2019s voice.\u00a0 She was not as strong as Merida.\u00a0 They meant to rattle her, they meant to silence her with a sleuth of objections and to nitpick every single question.\u00a0 I had to take a different approach.\u00a0 I would have to testify for her in my citing\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cMrs. Parker-Perry was made keenly aware that Va\u2019lis was a vampire when the Draconians forced Va\u2019lis to turn his favorite alumni. That\u2019s the story they do not want you to hear Chancellors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm: \u201cSustained.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Gray:\u00a0 \u201cWhile I agree with Chancellor Grimm on his ruling,\u00a0 I would like to understand why this was not brought to the Order\u2019s attention prior.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u201cMany things are not always brought to the Order\u2019s attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor:\u00a0 \u201cSo none of it is admissible to this hearing.\u00a0 If they wish to file a complaint on their own, they should.\u00a0 No fault of ours that we filed one first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cDuly noted.\u00a0 Any past crimes that have not been heard before this council, cannot be brought to light here. Talbot: \u00a0<em>*<strong>smacks teeth<\/strong>*\u00a0 <\/em>\u201cVery well, the night of your abduction, you were in a town called Zento correct?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry: \u201cYes, I was on my honeymoon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u00a0\u201cSo sorry that happened to you. What exactly happened when they took you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry: \u201cI was buying some flowers.\u00a0 They have the rarest types in Zento.\u00a0 My husband was out perusing the armor shop.\u00a0 A man came up behind me and then I felt myself flying, I looked down and the town of Zento was small.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u00a0\u201cWhere did this man take you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry: \u201cIt was a dark dingy cave in what I think was Ice Island.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u00a0\u201cWho was there with you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry: <em>*<strong>pauses a moment, looking up to the private box searching for Merida<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cTwo men, then a woman came.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u00a0\u201cDid you recognize any of them?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry: <em>*<strong>having found Merida, who nodded to her, she found a second wind<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cThe woman that came was the same woman that had abducted my sire and forced him to either kill me or turn me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cObjection, relevance again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cMrs. Parker-Perry, please refrain from referencing to events prior to that night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cOnce you landed there, what happened?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>shifts in her chair<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cHe taunted me, because he knew I had just gotten married.\u00a0 He was happy to have disrupted that.\u00a0 And when I challenged him, he struck me again, knocking me unconscious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cObjection, assumption.\u00a0 The man is dead, Chancellors, he can neither dispute or affirm these events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cWe are well aware of that fact, Counselor. We will take that into our consideration upon judgement.\u201d <em>*<strong>turning to Mr. Talbot<\/strong>* <\/em>\u201cPlease proceed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 \u201cWhen I next woke up, I was in a cell.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t know where at that time, but I did notice the climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cAnd who else did you come in contact with at this new facility?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 \u201cThe one they call Frank.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cLet the records show that the witness is pointing to Franco Draconis, known as Frank Draco.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cDuly noted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cAnd what conversations did you have with Frank Draco?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>shifts again in her seat<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cHe drew samples of my blood. He beat me when I refused to cooperate. He chained me up.\u00a0 He starved me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor:\u00a0 \u201cObjection, scope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cThere was no direct examination to scope my line of questions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cOverruled, you may continue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cSo Mr. Draco beat you and tortured you and left you unfed. Did the other Mr. Draco, Kirk Draco, visit you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>pauses knowing where this is going<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cYes, several times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cBut he is not a scientist, if they wanted to inspect the makeup of your bloodline, Kirk would have little to do with that.\u00a0 So what transpired during his visits?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor:\u00a0 \u201cObjection, leading.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019ll re-phrase the question.\u00a0 Can you tell us what happened during his visits?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor:\u00a0 \u201cObjection, relevance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>sighs, his annoyance clearly showing<\/strong>*\u00a0 <\/em>\u201cOverruled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cYou may answer, Carrie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>eyes welling back up, a single tear escaping<\/strong><\/em>*\u00a0 \u201cI\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carrie once again looked up to find Merida, who had her hand out flat on the glass. Her own eyes tearing up at the pain that her sister would have to relive here today.<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s alright Carrie, go on.\u201d\u00a0 <em>*<strong>Armand gets up and hands David his handkerchief to give to Carrie<\/strong>* <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>taking the handkerchief from David<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cHe was taunting me, he would prick his finger letting the blood run out egging me to drink from him. And when it looked like I couldn\u2019t handle it anymore, he would lick his finger to instantly heal it. I\u2019ve never seen anyone heal so fast. And when I lashed out at him for it,\u00a0 he would beat me\u2026 and\u2026 and\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carrie breaks down and starts sobbing. I couldn\u2019t help myself but to touch her hand, even though I was not supposed to.\u00a0 When I looked over, I saw Marius shed a tear and Armand\u2019s agitation at his sister in law\u2019s clear despair was evident.\u00a0 And when I looked at the Dracos\u2026 David, that bastard, had a smug smile on his face.\u00a0 I realized then, that he had known what had happened. Frank\u2019s face however, was questioning.\u00a0 I do not think Frank knows what his sons had done.<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>squeezing her hand<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cCarrie, tell the court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>in sobs<\/strong>* <\/em>\u201c\u2026 he raped me. Not just once\u2026 but every time he went in there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cAgain I must object on the basis of assumption.\u00a0 No one can confirm or deny these events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Gray:\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ll allow it with a contingency. The alleged rape of this witness has not been proven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cBut Chancellor\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Gray:\u00a0 \u201cSit down Counselor!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cA moment if you will Chancellors,\u201d\u00a0 <em>*<strong>holding on to Carrie\u2019s hand<\/strong>*<\/em> \u201ccould you allow Armand de Romanus to come up for a few?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>nods<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ll allow it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With that Armand sprung out of his seat taking flight, landing right next to Carrie.\u00a0 Carrie fell into his arms sobbing. \u00a0I looked up and Merida was beside herself pacing back and forth, I knew she desperately wanted to be down here but could not.\u00a0 Va\u2019lis stared down, his eyes firmly held to David Draco\u2019s head.\u00a0 Draco could feel the stare\u2026 so he turned to look up at Va\u2019lis, tipped his hat and winked at him smugly.\u00a0 Lestat caught wind of that, and I felt my sire jump.\u00a0 I flew to him to stop him.\u00a0 Now is not be the time for revenge.\u00a0 \u201cLestat, sire\u2026 sit. You will ruin everything.\u201d\u00a0 Marius hung his head, his rage was slowly churning. The thousands of years working for him at this moment he was fighting to contain it.\u00a0 Lestat still had a lot to learn from him.\u00a0 \u201cWe must acquit Marius!\u201d\u00a0 Lestat calmed down enough. Armand managed to get Carrie as composed as he could. As I walked back to Carrie, Armand walked back to his seat, he nodded at his wife and his father in law.<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cYou okay to continue, Carrie?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>nods, wiping her eyes<\/strong>*<\/em> \u201cY-yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>sighs<\/strong>*<\/em>\u00a0 \u201cBesides the physical abuse your body suffered, Mrs. Parker-Perry,\u00a0 you said they starved you, yes?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot:\u00a0 \u201cThey provided no means to quench your thirst?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>looking pale, already exhausted<\/strong>*\u00a0 <\/em>\u201cOh, they knew I was a vegan. That fact pissed them off because I did not \u201cfeed the blood\u201d enough to make it strong. They were unable to decipher anything from it.\u00a0 So to hurt me further, they threw a human in the cell with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u201cWhat happened to the human?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Windsor: \u201cObjection, narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor Grimm:\u00a0 \u201cOverruled, the witness may answer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 <em>*<strong>cries again<\/strong>* <\/em>\u201cWhat do you think happened?\u00a0 When they took Merida away, who was helping me stay focused,\u00a0 I drained him dry.\u00a0 This poor man had three children, had lost his job and had been unable to feed his family.\u00a0 He was caught stealing food from a local shop, his only crime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns. Talbot: \u201cSo Merida was there with you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Parker-Perry:\u00a0 \u201cYes, when they couldn\u2019t get what they wanted out of my blood,\u00a0 they went after the next best thing\u2026 her. \u00a0They kept her in the cell across from me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Couns.
