Goals for Season 3: Patch 11.2

And we’re still here…

So last season’s goals were mostly met, with the exception of CE and PvP Teams. Mind you they were pretty lofty goals, given that the first boss we had to defeat is the Roster Boss. What we realized was that today’s raiders aren’t as dedicated as the gamers of Legion, so we had to pivot. People want to raid Mythic, but not necessarily want to clear CE. What we had last season was a Heroic raiding team that could dabble in Mythic Bosses and now we need dedicated gamers to really push forward. And that’s going to take quite a few seasons. But that’s okay! We learned a lot and we’re focused on pushing forward in Season 3.

RAIDING

Our focus this upcoming season is strictly getting further than we did in this season in the Mythic tier raid. Certainly much more attainable goals than we had before. We want dedicated players that can stick around for the ENTIRETY of the season; no end of season break bullshit. The Mythic raiders we are looking for now are folks that execute the following every week.

  • Commit to the raid days and times.
  • Get max item level as fast as we can.
  • Flex their specs better (pick up at least 2 different specs for each class).
  • Level swaps that can be activated in raids for the different bosses to make better comps.
  • Finish out the entire heroic raid by week 3 (we did it in 4 weeks for S2).
  • Down at least 5/8 of the bosses in Manaforge Omega (MFO) Mythic.
  • Stay ACTIVE throughout the season and make the raid days/times.

We have also learned how to quantify and measure raid performance in a way that is unbiased and fair for all players to keep getting better! We have published this as part of our Guild Raiding Methodology, so you’re welcomed to take a look.

PLAYER VS PLAYER

In Season 3 for our PvP goals, we want to field together at least 10 PvP’ers that are willing to run on weekends; Saturdays and Sundays to slaughter those RBGs. We’re looking to plan strategies around the RBGs and have squad leaders that can lead guildies to fun victories. We have been talking about getting more PvPers that focus on PvP, rather than raiders that ALSO like to PvP (cuz we have a few of those).

Our PvP Co-GM Dreadknight will be in charge of coordinating these events but we also want to see other Squad Leaders step up and also lead all the events as well. If anyone has any interest in doing some of that, please do let us know.
