Community Event: Cards Against Humanity Party!

Join us for some fun and community! TLP-FFXIV is hosting our very next Cards Against Humanity™ Family Night happening on Friday July 29th at 10 PM EST / 9 PM CST. We encourage all our members and fans to join in on the fun! Our Community nights will be happening once a month so if you can’t catch this one, you can plan on the one next month! Not interested in playing but just want to come hang out? Sure, np! We will be hosting it LIVE through our amazing partners at Twitch on our main channel:http://twitch.tv/TLPGuild and you are welcomed to come hang out in our TLP Main Discord Server with the rest of us.

Cards Against Humanity™ will also be played LIVE in person during our up and coming “Meet n Greet” with our guildies and streamers in San Diego, CA when we all attend ‪#‎TeamTLP‬ Twitch Con 2016 on September 28th, 2016. TLP has acquired an entire apartment building for all our teammates and guildmates and is hosting a “Tired N Hungry” dinner for all of our folks flying in that Thursday. Expect lots of fun and laughter!

TLP Stands With Orlando

It is with the saddest hearts that we look upon the day today.  The events of Orlando, FL in the last few days have shocked our nation and the world.  We wanted to offer a few simple words of acknowledgement and support for the family and friends of those that tragically and violently lost their lives in the wee hours of the morning.  Unfortunately, this is not the first time we face terrorism in our country and it certainly will not be last.  No matter what steps are taken in either direction, there will always be some extremists that believe hate is the only answer to our vast differences.  We know different, however we can say that it is not through hate that we can truly affect change but through love and acceptance.

As an organization with members across the entire Earth,  we share in the grief of those loved ones that are heartbroken and sit in despair.  We can only hope that together we show that where evil means to divide us, it has failed miserably for we only come closer and more united in face of great adversity.  For all of us across the world that call TLP home, we can only offer up some of our time, our condolences, and our willingness to help.

We stand with Equality Florida in their efforts to raise funds to help and assist the families of those we lost.   Please visit their site and give what you can;  time, blood, money, supplies.  Everything is needed and much appreciated.

FFXIV 3.3 Revenge of the Horde on June 7th!!!

The release date for FFXIV update 3.3 is June 7th, 2016. That is so soon! Now that we have that out of the way with, there is a lot of exciting new content coming for patch 3.3. There is the usual set of new dungeons, and storyline, but players can also have fun with the variety of new types of dungeons and fun features that are uniquely being introduced in patch 3.3: Revenge of the Horde. Overwatch Open Beta Review (PC)

Overwatch is classified as an Multiplayer Online Battle Arena but this honestly will not give you an idea what you are really playing.

The break down for Overwatch: 6vs6 Team objective based game that gives you the ability to swap in and out of heroes at spawn or after a death.

To ensure a team victory players should consider swapping to fill key roles as tank and or Support. These provide a strong base team.
Although tank and support are not always played you could see a victory without them but it would take much more effort and map intelligence
Players should consider different heroes for different maps to fully utilize the full potential of the hero.

With Heavy Hearts…. sad News for Our Family

gotik-collageIt pains me to make this post…it’s not a post I would ever want to make. But it must be made. This will pertain mostly to the Archeage crowd, but some of you in other games may have known Gotik or PrincessGotik (who’s real name is Julio), too.

Maria and I discovered today that Julio passed away yesterday unexpectedly. For those of you who played Archeage, Julio went by Princessgotik/Gotikguilda in-game. He was an officer, incredibly friendly and supportive, and had been playing with us for quite a long time.

Julio was much more than just someone who played Archeage for many of us…just as most of you who are associated with TLP are much more than just people we play with. He was a father, a husband, and someone who had emigrated to the United States all the way from Venezuela to seek a better life.

In-game, he was never much for PvP. Despite that, he learned to hold his own and was one of the most dedicated players I’ve seen when it came to trade runs and making money. It wasn’t all that unusual to see him still on at 8 am in the morning.

When I logged into Archeage earlier today, I found him AFKing, just as he always did, sitting on a bench in the Marianople hall. I suspect no one has realized just yet that he’s still logged in.

Julio leaves behind a 16-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old daughter who also plays in game. Gentle reminder to people who play that if you are approached or messaged by Sofisticated, I would appreciate it if you treat her patiently and kindly. She is friendly and has often reached out to me or others in-game…and having just lost her dad, she may do so again because of the connection we had. If she does and you are uncomfortable in any way, let me know and I’ll be happy to talk to her. Please don’t approach her on your own with questions about Julio.

When we get more information about what happened, I’ll update you guys and try to give you more detail. Right now, all we know is that he passed away unexpectedly.
