We had our last guild meeting before launch saw us re-evaluating the decision we made on the faction. Most of our members really were not feeling the Covenant faction because it just did not align with who we know to be.

We started by talking about a server, and since TLP is a conglomerate of friends and allies that have through the years joined us in new worlds, we wanted to honor those roots. If Midgard has been a server on the East Coast, we would have picked it because most of us from other guilds developed close friendships within the widely popular Dark Age of Camelot — Midgard was our chosen faction. If we would have gone with a West Coast server, we probably would have picked Camelot, for much the same reason. As a matter of fact, one of our long-standing allies, the Undead Lords, picked Camelot for that very same reason. So, Valhalla spoke to us.

TLP New World Prep for Open Beta on 9/9/21

TLP’ers, join us on Saturday, September 4th at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST to review our plans for Open Beta and solidify our efforts along with other allies. We still have our primary plan in place and this is our chance to test it out. Below is a reminder of what we want to try to accomplish. For Open Beta, we will be launching on the HELIOPOLIS server. The server names will more than likely change come launch and we’ll have to revisit.

Open Beta Coming on September 9th, 2021

Hail all our TLP’ers! We have some great news coming out of GamesCon, which happened yesterday. We will be getting another chance to play New World in an Open Beta coming on September 9th. That means we will be able to test-drive our plan for launch. Hopefully, they do keep all the same server names or at least we get to know for sure that they are not (if they change them). Our plan for launch is written in detail on our Discord server in the #guild-info channel. If you are not part of the Discord server, please join it! We provide a link to it right here on this site!

TLP Reunited to Launch an Official Chapter in New World

We are pleased to announce that our next official chapter will be in the new MMORPG by Amazon Game Studios, New World. It’s been several years since we were able to officially bring our people back together under one roof so we are excited that New World will be the game that “brings the band back together”.

It is really important for us to take a roll call of all our community members that will be launching with us on August 31st, 2021. We have a few tasks that we’re asking our members to do, they are as follows:

1) Vote on the Server of Choice (we have already picked the region of NA East).
2) Provide us some details on what you will be playing.
3) Attend the Launch Planning Meeting on 7/31/21 at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST / 10 PM GMT on our TLP New World Discord.

Below are some of the current plans and guild management items we’ve put in place (especially because the game does not have good guild management in-game). We will be managing the guild through Google Sheets, much like we did in Albion Online. Once those two things are done, if you have the closed beta, come and join us on Discord and reacquaint yourselves with guildies. It’s been a while!

Alpha Test by the Numbers

THIS PHASE OF ALPHA IS COMPLETE

In September, we opened our doors to the public so that we could share what we’ve been working on with a wider audience. New World had a lot of rough edges and we weren’t sure players would embrace what we were striving to create. But, as players started venturing into New World, we started to learn along with them what was working and what wasn’t.

We had an opportunity to see the game through the eyes of thousands of talented and committed gamers and we liked what we saw. We’ve been blown away by the passion and commitment of our Alpha Tester community and we’ve taken their feedback to heart.

We’re very optimistic about New World’s future and we’re going to take time to add the content and features that our players have asked for. Stay tuned for updates and check out some of the achievements our Alpha Testers accomplished during this testing phase.
