With Great Pride, We Celebrate #LoveIsLove

On Friday June 27th The Last Prophecy celebrated LGBTQIA+ Pride with an in-game parade. The parade was a fun way to spend time together and a chance to raise awareness & funds for a great cause- the NOH8 Campaign. See Dani’s post about the work that NOH8 makes possible.

We started in Dornogal with a quick warm-up cuddle puddle. Excitement was high with lots of toys, mounts and outfits to enjoy.

The parade procession began in full “Role Play” walking speed, around the city then off the plank down, down (hopefully to a soft landing), the coreway to the Ringing Deeps.

We made our first stop in the Ringing Deeps for a photo op.

After a democratic decision to switch to running speed, the group forged ahead to Tenir’s Ascent, the on to Mereldar, Hallowfall where we caught an airship ride up to the Priory of the Sacred Flame.

We took another airship for a scenic flight around the zone while we answered some trivial questions Danitsia prepared for us about the history of the gay liberation and rights movement. It was educational and fun seeing who knew which facts and tidbits.

The time had come to make our way to our final destination: The Weaver’s Lair, Azj-Kahet.

At the Lair, we showed off our transmogified pride outfits one by one. It was a blast seeing everyone display their personal style and creativity in how they put their looks together.

The battle was heated and spirited! Dani had the unenviable privilege of selecting the winners between many great submissions.

In the end, the victors were Saelyria, Crittykat and Bonsai (Night Elf supremacy!).

Bonsai’s winning “flaming pride” outfit complete with pet Fruitbasket & Unicorn mount!

All in all it was a lovely evening showing off our LGBTQIA+ with our guildie friends. See you all next year!

We Celebrate Our LGBTQIA+ Friends & Family

We love the diversity of the world here at TLP as an organization and as chapters within the games we play. On Friday June 27th, we will show our support during our annual PRIDE PARADE through the heart of The War Within main zones, starting in Dornogal proper at 8 PM Pacific (9 PM Mountain, 10 PM Central, 11 PM Eastern).

With our best, most colorful outfits and GROUND mounts, we will make our way on foot (with the exception of of the drop from Dornogal into Ringing Deeps) through to the main city in Ringing Deeps, Gundargaz. From there we take the train tracks over into Hallowfall — where we will visit the great city of Mereldar before taking flight to the Priory of the Sacred Flame to clear out all the heretics & hoping on to the Dawnbreaker for a quick 15 minute trivia. From Hallowfall, we head on to the depths of Azj-Kahet, home of the Nerubians — where we will either stop at the Weaver’s Lair city or if we have a much bigger audience head towards the great arena in the City of Threads (near Zekvir’s old lair) for group photos!

There we will be hold a BEST TRANSMOG/MOUNT CONTEST where our judges will decide who wins the top prize (1), runner up (2), and second runner up (3). We are looking for originality, creativity, a blend of the rainbow’s best colors, matching weapons/shields, andddddddd a matching MOUNT to go with it! First prize will be 600,000 gold in game, second prize will be 300,000 gold in game, and third prize will be 100,000 gold in game.

This year we have partnered up with the NOH8 CAMPAIGN to raise a bit of money to help those in this community find peace, equality, and acceptance. If you can donate anything you can spare, you can do so through Tiltify (directly goes to NOH8) by clicking below.

ABOUT NOH8 CAMPAIGN

MISSION STATEMENT: The NOH8 Campaign is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest.

On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California, amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The defeat provoked a groundswell of initiative within the GLBT community at a grassroots level, with many new political and protest organizations being formed in response.

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with “NOH8” painted on one cheek in protest.

Nine years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to over 56,000 faces and continues to grow at an exponential rate. The campaign began with portraits of everyday Californians from all walks of life and soon rose to include politicians, military personnel, newlyweds, law enforcement, artists, celebrities, and many more from across the globe.

While inspired by the passage of Prop 8 and the fight for marriage equality, the scope of the NOH8 Campaign has grown to stand against discrimination and bullying of all kinds. The message of ‘No Hate’ can be interpreted and applied broadly, and everyone can relate to the message of NOH8 in their own way.

The NOH8 Campaign has received overwhelming support from around the world, and has appeared in various local and national news programs and publications. The images are widely used on various social networking sites such as FacebookTwitter and Instagram to proudly show support for equal rights.

To date, NOH8 Campaign has hosted official photo shoots in 48 of the 50 United States (plus D.C.) and 20 countries around the world. While our work continues here in the US, we must not forget that there are still places around the world where simply being who you are means living in fear for your life every single day. Our mission to promote love, acceptance and respect for all human beings will continue in pursuit of #NOH8Worldwide.

Guild Progress Updates – November 2024

Team, I’ve discussed our focus shifting to Mythic with our raid leaders and this is where we are at with the progress for our raiding teams.

CURRENT RAID PROGRESS
As of today, we have killed all bosses in heroic with the exception of Queen as a full guild group. For a guild that’s NOT full of hardcore raiders, that’s pretty darn good. Especially since we started with 4/8 at the beginning of the month and managed to up our kill count by 3 to 7/8. But Queen Ansurek is such a complicated fight. Its mechanically intensive and as someone with physical limitations, I can tell you that it will take a while for some of us to be able to execute those mechanics with a certain level of consistency. But we’ve wanted to be raiding Mythic by December and we are going to do just that, even if we haven’t found our permanent raid members just yet. How? Well… I am glad you asked.

OPENING OUR RAIDS
Starting in December, we will be opening our Heroic Raids to PUGs because as it stands right now recruitment is very difficult due to two big factors: (a) we’re a Pacific Time based guild and there just aren’t many players available, and (b) players want to raid the Mythic content and there aren’t folks available to recruit that will join a guild that isn’t currently raiding Mythic. The logic is that as we still work to build up our permanent teams, we can better recruit folks from PUGS that are clearing the content we’re intending to clear ourselves. As such, a few of our normal loot rules will have to change up to accommodate for PUGs and we will once again go back to OPEN ROLLS, however there will be some ways that we can increase our guildies’ chances at that loot.

EMPHASIZING M+ DUNGEONS
In order to really work on that muscle memory and get comfortable with mechanics of today’s WoW, we really need to get more intentional and pro-active about getting guild groups together to clear Mythic+ dungeons. It will help us get better at our classes. As such we’re moving the Normal Raid to Tuesdays at 7 PM Pacific — it doesn’t take us more than 1 hour to clear it — and making SUNDAYS our M+ grind days. Teams that are currently running are my team, Team Freyja, which is our entrance team. We’re running M+0 to M+4 to help guildies learn the routes and the mechanics of each of these instances. Team Loki, which is led by Cips, is focused on getting folks from M+5 to M+10, and you can stay in that team if all you want to do is farm Myth gear and get Gilded crests. Team Thor and Team Odin are reserved for those guildies that want to chase that 1% title and are capable of doing +11 keys and up — they’ll be our key pushers. Sundays will start our M+ grinds at 2 PM Pacific and run all day/night long until the team calls it for the night.

The goal for this push into M+ is to acquire the MYTH level gear we need to make our way into Mythic raiding much more do-able by upping our iLvls collectively as a guild. But we’re not deluding ourselves into thinking that we will kill Mythic Queen, that’s for much more hardcore raiders than we currently have, however — its still the vision for TLP to build.

We are still all working towards ONE GOAL:

Season 2 has always been the vision as we’re a RETURNING guild that did not have many members in it at the start of The War Within.

If anyone has any questions in regard to any of these updates, please do reach out to Danitsia | Maria, Cips | Jake, Wolfboy (Azure | Woofboy), or Meztlitotol (Mez | Necessities) on Discord.

Guild Progress Updates – October 2024

Team, I’ve talked it over with our raid leaders, and here are the updates we’ve agreed on for our raiding teams.

CURRENT RAID PROGRESS
We have done a lot of good things together for a guild that is casual. We have cleared Normal Nerub-ar Palace, 8/8, and have started the journey into Heroic Nerub-ar Palace, killing 4/8 bosses in our first week in there. But we have 4 very difficult bosses to down in this instance and we’re not cutting it with our DPS and HPS, save for some that stand out above the rest. As such, we’re going to have to tighten up the requirements needed to join the HEROIC Raiding Team: Prophets. Some folks may be benched if they are not working on getting better with every raid.
