Every May, all the guilds across the entirety of The Last Prophecy don their best PURPLE outfits in honor of our founder, Danitsia (Maria Espino). Dani, as we call her, was born in 1974 and diagnosed after 3 weeks with a rare genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis. As such, she has faced countless obstacles in managing her illness with everyday tasks. She donates her time to help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in talking with parents of newly diagnosed babies, so that they can take inspiration from just how much Dani has gotten to do in her lifetime with adherence to treatments and devoting 5-6 hours a day to her personal care. We celebrate her and the countless others that battle “invisible illnesses” every single day throughout the month of May.
