A Desperate Desire

zach-ro-at-schoolIt has been five weeks since I first laid eyes on her; since I fell in love with her.  It truly was love at first sight.  Never have I felt anything as extraordinary or as strong as the love I feel for her.  I know she’s younger than me, and that to teenagers 3.5 years seems like a lifetime, but what she’s had to endure has matured her.  She’s more mature than most of the girls my age, none of which ever really piqued my interest. Only one to come close was Cora, but that was so short lived and she went off to be a warrior trainee at the Warrior’s Guild in Britain.  But Rowan, she is the one.  I feel it deep inside my soul.  With her I feel like I can take on the world!

Another Incident

bruised-ribsOnce again the rage took over.

This time it was against Henry.  Dad was on his case about forgetting to rake the hay bales scraps like he was supposed to.  Instead Henry went to play ball with the boys from the farm up north.  Dad ended up striking him across his face, and that’s when I stepped in.  I tackled him down and he got up, his rage now thrice what it had been.  Round for round we went at it.

Mom hearing the fighting and things crashing around us rushed in to find Dad kicking me in the side.  It was her screams that made him stop long enough for me to get away.  But I can take his beatings, his abuse. My mother and siblings cannot.  I have to stay with them for as long as I can.  I didn’t know where else to really go.  I passed by the address that Mrs. Romanus had given me but it looked like no one was home that evening.  I decided to seek out Rowan.

An Interesting Opportunity

Marius de Romanus (Age: 2,278 Apparent: 40

What is surely to be an interesting opportunity quickens my resolve to continue my work.

Piper Vale walked back into our lives. But no this wasn’t the same Piper I used to know.  This was Piper the Vampire.  Vampirism having stripped her of her witchery, she was now accustomed to her new reality, but was she?  She talked of the struggles she’s had to work to overcome and how difficult it had been.  But of course, Ashiok had made her vampire and all but left her to her own devices. Surely, at her own request; she’s stubborn like that. She thought she could handle it on her own, being around vampires the majority of her life.  But by her own admission, she had underestimated the importance of a good sire. As most of us do, for one reason or another. Now she felt a bit lost, a bit overwhelmed, and certainly a bit lonely. She needed a vampire that could educate her, guide her, mentor her.

Of course, I offered her to become my protego.  This was Piper.  Our Piper.  I would not leave her to suffer and have her grow to be unstable.  That’s what happens without a proper sireship. But the memory of Piper would surely evoke other memories, especially for Pandora. She was afterall the woman that brought Brelynn and Saralyn to us, helped us raise them, developed us into actual parents. Everytime we look at her, we’re reminded of what we lost.

Aftermath, Pt. 4

imageMarius needed all his strongest Legionnaires called home. He had asked me to bring my best most formidable commanders to Sosaria. Some of them have never traveled to this planet. So I had to go back to Earth, something I dreaded right now for Carrie’s sake. Rules of operation had to pressed out to them; what they could bring and what they could not. I resigned myself to the fact I would have to go.

But if I had to go back to France, I might as well look the part. I donned my best most expensive garments. My fabulous off the shoulder royal blue-colored sheath dress and matching statement hat, Givenchy of course. My powder blue stilettos, Jimmy Choo, would clack across the marble of the our Parisian Pallisades compound as I made my way down to our version of the “Situation Room”.
