The Search for A Clue
After the service for my daughter Saralyn, we gathered at the Bloody Brew. Isonu seemed anxious to tell me what he had been working on; the note we found at Fan Dancers that needed decryption. The threat of these bandits that seem to be rogue vampires created for a specific purpose by Va’lis Raze’le is very real. They seem to want whatever he had discovered, which I am sure has to do with the source of Va’lis’ power. Its thoroughly depressing to think that these humans were not properly validated to be given the Dark Gift, but then again that’s probably not something that Va’lis was taught to do. Only Isonu seems to be of any formidable value.
A Service for Saralyn
A service is scheduled for the interment of Saralyn de Romanus on August 23rd, at 9 o’clock in the eve’ by the Eastern skies at our city’s Church of the Sun.
A short service, officiated by Amroth Plinius, will begin shortly after followed by a private moment with the de Romanus family. The extended family is asked to sign the guest book provided at the entrance and then move to the Reprieve for Resting Souls graveyard, next to the Church.
Funerary attire is required.
Request for Aid
I arrived at my office this morning to a letter that had been delivered via the Britannian Post. I recognized the seal on it to be that of the official Crown Seal for the Royal Guard. I opened it immediately.
I saw that it was from an old friend, Kalmar Erikkson. The Captain had been for the better part of a year nursing his leg wounds from Pirate Hawkeye Pike’s attack, as such he has resigned from his post. It seems, now almost fully healed, he was back at the head of the Umbra regiment.
He needed my help.
