Marius needed all his strongest Legionnaires called home. He had asked me to bring my best most formidable commanders to Sosaria. Some of them have never traveled to this planet. So I had to go back to Earth, something I dreaded right now for Carrie’s sake. Rules of operation had to pressed out to them; what they could bring and what they could not. I resigned myself to the fact I would have to go.
But if I had to go back to France, I might as well look the part. I donned my best most expensive garments. My fabulous off the shoulder royal blue-colored sheath dress and matching statement hat, Givenchy of course. My powder blue stilettos, Jimmy Choo, would clack across the marble of the our Parisian Pallisades compound as I made my way down to our version of the “Situation Room”.
The lab went boom!
It has been a few weeks since the events of London and Carrie is still volatile at best. As her sire-mother, I simply do not know what to do. I’m trying everything I can. But it seems like I am in this alone. As much Merida has made time to come and visit Carrie, she’s busy with her own healing and she has Armand and the kids to focus on so she barely has the time to spend with Carrie. But bless her unbeating heart, she tries.
I loaded our car up; Merida changed to the back seat, she was holding Astoria’s head in her lap trying to soothe her. Astoria had been beaten and then nearly drained. We had our medic trying to infuse her with transfusions of human blood but nothing was working. Her mortal body was just too weak. She was hemorrhaging internally from her injuries. Merida was now caressing her face and hair while she let out a tear or two. She loved Astoria for her kids loved her just the same.
