What an exciting event tonight… we had the whole community come out to support each other! Most of all we all had a LOT of FUN!!! Trade Center’s Grand Opening, July 11th, 8 PM EST
We are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the new Trade Center of Umbra on Monday, July 11th, at 8 PM EST. This market will be the grand center of all trade for our Role Playing community. The premise of this shop is to buy, sell, and trade items for SILVER in a fashion that promotes role playing. Silver will help to create our own, more realistic, RP currency. Not many common folk of the day walked around with loads of gold pieces lying about… copper and silver pieces were more frequently used.
The focus of the shop is NOT what items you have to sell, but rather HOW you are selling them. Some of our featured shops will be creatively selling items that may or may not be of normal economic value, but to a person living in the times of Sosaria would be useful and sought after. Items would normally be sold for a few pieces of silver.
Full Moon’s Ball, June 16th @ 8 PM EST
Come and join us for the Full Moon’s Ball being held on Thursday, June 16th at 8 PM EST. The event will be held in the great city of Umbra, at the Necromantic Amphitheatre (of course!).
What will happen? Will the werewolves be able to keep their control and composure, or will the power of the moon be too much to be held back?!? Will the older, genetically advanced Lycans fight the rogue shapeshifters wolves and reveal their true natures for all to see? Or will they remain hidden among the shadows to keep their identities a secret per the Traditions they’ve sworn to uphold? Or perhaps it will just be a pleasant evening for all to enjoy and no one will have to ruin their tux?
You will have to come to find out…

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Join us on THURSDAY, MARCH 17th, 2011 for a day of celebration in honor of Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick. The Bloody Brew will open an hour earlier than usual, at 8 PM EST to allow everyone to come join us in a toast to Ole St. Pat! The Brew will be serving a wide variety of home-made and imported wines, liquors, ales, and brews. All visitors will drink FREE!!!
In honor of this great day, we ask that all guests come don their GREEN! This event is open to ALL players of the Catskills shard, regardless of play style.
“Bedlam Stirs” Revamped and Refocused
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we’ve been reworking a lot of the Bedlam Stirs parts to better fit outside of EM’s direct involvement with the Ix Tab plot line as that was largely an RBG Theme storyline.
So log into our forums to read out the high level overview concerning “Bedlam Stirs” and how it will now become part of OvC Theme, incorporating the new “cross-guild” Cult of the Fallen. Which also brings me to reminding you guys…
Any spare characters you have that wish to be added to Cult of the Fallen should be renamed or recreated to better suit the “BEDLAM” story (Read the UO Guide page on Bedlam). Remember that these characters will need to be renamed often, as they ARE KILLABLE characters. As such, we’re setting up a fund in the guild house that will collect all the gold from our new Friday night hunts to buy up “name change tokens” for folks that get their characters killed off as part of CotF.

A Lover’s Dance
I am excited to announce the up and coming “Lover’s Dance” being held in Umbra on Sunday Feb. 13th at 8 PM EST to honor Valentine’s Day. We’re making it a night early to be able to give folks a chance to enjoy an in game event without overstepping the real life event. 🙂
The following prizes will be given out to couples that join us and CoD members will do the judging in each category…
Best Dressed Couple — 100,000 gold.
Best Rehearsed Couple’s Dance — 500,000 gold.
Best Lover’s Poem — 25,000 gold.
Best Rehearsed Couple’s Dance is actually quite difficult to do and takes a lot of practice. So you and your partner must practice!!! The dance must be a coordinated step dance, where the two of you execute the same steps in unison. The best execution with the least mistakes wins!
Best Dressed Couple will be awarded at the end of the night. Each couple will have a screen shot taken that will then be featured on UO Stratics, Catskills section.
Poems must be submitted in a “red leafed book” (sealed) to us at our Trade Center, no later than Saturday before MIDNIGHT!!! The winning poems will be selected and then you will be called to the podium to recite them for your loved one, so keep a copy handy.
